A unique nut in the Amazon Rainforest of Peru, Brazil and Bolivia
The Brazil Nut Tree, called “castaños” in Spanish, take more than 25 years to grow and produce Brazil nuts, and they are only present in the Amazon rainforest of Peru, Brazil and Bolivia.
This is the main reason why most of the Brazil nuts in the market comes from “castaños” grown in the wild, and also there is no human intervention (pesticides or solutions) used in this trees. We can say Brazil nuts are grown in a completely Natural and ORGANIC way.
The nuts grow inside a coconut which are picked by local families during the rainy season (December to March).
